How Webraptor Systems handles data, and the limits we place on ourselves.

This policy explains what we process when you use the Webraptor platform, why we process it, and how long we keep it.

LAST UPDATED · 19 SEPTEMBER 2026

1. Who we are

Webraptor Systems ("Webraptor", "we") operates the web extraction and DOM telemetry platform at webraptor.org. This policy covers the platform, the console at app.webraptor.org and our public website.

For privacy enquiries write to [email protected]. We answer within five working days.

2. Data we process

We keep the categories deliberately narrow:

  • chevron_rightAccount data — name, work email, organisation, billing details and authentication records.
  • chevron_rightUsage data — capture volume, target domains, schema identifiers, API keys and request metadata such as timestamps and response codes.
  • chevron_rightCapture data — the structured output your jobs request, retained for the period configured on your account.
  • chevron_rightSupport data — correspondence with our support channel and any material you attach to it.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your capture output to train models of our own.

We do not build advertising profiles from the content you capture.

We do not permit our platform to be used to harvest special-category personal data, and accounts doing so are suspended (see the Responsible Scraping Charter).

4. Why we process it

To deliver the service and authenticate you; to bill accurately; to detect abuse of the platform; to meet legal and accounting obligations; and to improve reliability using aggregated operational metrics.

5. Retention

Capture output is retained per your account configuration and deleted on expiry. Request logs are retained for 90 days. Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting law. Backups roll off within 35 days.

6. Sub-processors

We use a small number of providers for hosting, object storage, payment processing and error tracking. A current list, with regions, is available on request. We require contractual data-protection terms from each of them.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. Write to [email protected]. We will verify your identity before acting and will respond within the statutory period.

8. Your rights in the EEA (GDPR)

If you are established in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, known as the GDPR, governs our processing of your personal data. Webraptor Systems is the data controller for that processing, reachable at [email protected].

We rely on the following legal bases under Article 6(1): performance of our contract with you, for providing the service and billing; our legitimate interests, for keeping the platform secure, preventing abuse and improving reliability, balanced against your rights; compliance with legal obligations, for accounting and tax records; and your consent, where we specifically ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time.

We answer GDPR requests within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, and we will tell you if we need that extension. Reasonable requests are free of charge.

  • chevron_rightAccess — a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • chevron_rightRectification — correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • chevron_rightErasure — deletion where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it
  • chevron_rightRestriction — limiting how we use your data while a dispute is resolved
  • chevron_rightPortability — receiving data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format
  • chevron_rightObjection — objecting to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests
  • chevron_rightLodging a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or where the alleged infringement occurred

9. International transfers

Our default processing region is the European Union (EU-CENTRAL-1). Where data is transferred across borders we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

10. Cookies

The console uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session integrity, and no advertising cookies. The public website sets no tracking cookies of its own.

11. Changes

We will post any material change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance.
